As the quality of scooped water from the resources does not comply with the Rule book, the plant for elimination, that is for the reduction of certain parameters has been built. The parameters that represent the obstacle for the use of water are methane (up to 20 l/m3) and iron (about 0.7 mg/l). In compliance with this, the objects for gassing and deferment have been realised. Gassing is performed in the conditions of sudden pressure drop, spraying on the fulfilling and forced ventilation. Deferment is performed by the oxidation via oxygen from the air and extraction of iron hydro-oxide by sedimentation on the sand filter. Simultaneously, the processes of biological nitrification take place on the filter. The final phase of conditioning consists of disinfection by the solution of gaseous chlorine. The effects of water conditioning comply with the regulations of the appropriate Rule book from the period of construction of this object.
The objects of the water treatment plant consist of gasser, filter station, reservoir, suction station, central control unit and other infrastructural additional facilities. The capacity of gasser and filter station is 260 l/s. The volume of constructed reservoir is 2500 m3 and it consists of one chamber. The anticipated second chamber of 2500 m3 has not been built. The suction station has been anticipated for the capacity of 530 l/s out of which 210 l/s is currently installed. The central control is placed in the temporary object.
The management and supervision over the water treatment plant is partly automated via computers which implies the monitoring of water level in the filter station and drinking water reservoir, and the monitoring of flow, pressure and residual chlorine in water and various alarm signals, as well as the creation of the data base by means of which there is always the insight in the functioning of water treatment plant and wells.
